De’Nita Wright

De’Nita Wright grew up and presently resides in West Louisville Ky. She spent
many years as a community advocate with roles ranging from participant to school
board candidate, to leadership. She spent several years as a member on “The Park
Duvalle Community Health Center Board Of Directors”, several of those years as
board secretary. She was Chair of The Resident Counsel of ‘The 550 Apts”,
Founder and Chair of “The G.O.D. project” youth program, and Chair of the Ky
Alliance against Racist and Political Repression. She’s been involved with
fundraising, giving speeches, developing power point presentations as well as
acting consultant to several individuals and community advocate groups. She
recently founded “The Coalition of West Louisville Neighborhood Associations”
(CWLNA) bringing together (so far) Representatives and leaders of 7 of the 9
Neighborhood Associations in the West Louisville area. Her goal is to expand
towards the southside and eventually bring in those Neighborhood Associations as
well, building a bigger voice for the preservation of Neighborhoods.
